National Prevention Summit
Investing in Australia's Health & Wellbeing

Dear &first_name;

Health is the top priority for most Australians. Without health, it's difficult to live well and to achieve our aspirations. It's well known that Australia, like many other countries around the world, is struggling with rapidly increasing rates of chronic illness, which will overwhelm our health system and impact heavily on our prosperity.

At Australia's first national illness prevention summit, more than 100 of Australia's leaders from government, health services, NGOs, corporate business, academia and the community created a vision for the prevention of illness and disability, including some concrete ideas for delivering on that vision.

In this issue of State of Health we look at the final platform recommendations and explore some of the potential strategies for ensuring a healthy, vibrant future.
